Ice cream brand Klondike has discontinued its popular Choco Taco and people are devastated.
The popular frozen snack looks like a taco but is made of wafer with an ice cream filling and chocolate dipped on top.
Klondike confirmed the cancellation on Twitter, writing: “A necessary but unfortunate part of this process is that we sometimes have to discontinue products, even beloved items like Choco Taco.”
“We know this can be very disappointing, and we hope you’ll try our other delicious frozen desserts!” They persisted before telling the Washington Post that it was a “very difficult decision.”
The much-loved product has been discontinued so that Klondike, which is owned by Unilever, can keep up with the “unprecedented rise in demand” of its products over the past two years.
Something had to be done in order for the company to continue distributing all of its ice cream snacks, and that unfortunately was the beloved Choco Taco.
