British Comedy Guide reports that the show is set to return to BBC 2 later this year. Not only that but there is more for fans to enjoy in 2022…
A Christmas special for the end of the year was also confirmed on the same channel.
Jonathan Watson (who plays Colin White) previously posted about the upcoming season’s work on his Instagram, confirming that he was “heading back for the #TwoDoorsDown Series 6 read in London.”
A release date has yet to be confirmed, but fans can rest assured that it will be back.

The season finale premiered on Monday, August 1, 2022. So, the wait for the next series has officially begun.

It was a shock
In chatting with The Sunday Post, Joy McAvoy (who plays Michelle) opened up about going into labor while filming for the previous season.
She laughed, “We were trying to get a shot when my water broke, which is definitely not what you’d expect when shooting a scene.”
It was a shock. I was eight months pregnant when we started shooting, I was supposed to finish filming, then go home and spend three weeks to myself to relax, nest, do last minute things and get ready for the baby to come.”
Now that’s a real drama.
