They say siblings are our first close friends, and it’s no surprise that National Twins Day is dedicated to celebrating the special bonds between sisters and brothers born together.
But, it seems that confusion has swept through Twitter as people are unable to find a definitive answer when National Twins Day is in 2022.

When is National Twins Day in 2022?
National Twins Day is celebrated on the first Saturday of every August. In 2022, it falls on August 6.
However, in Ohio, the entire weekend is dedicated to National Twins Day. Therefore, you can see the celebration on Saturday and Sunday.
This event is known to attract the largest gatherings of twins, along with triplets, quadruplets and more.
However, some celebrate the occasion on International Twins Day, which is celebrated on December 18.
The origin of the celebration
According to National Today, National Twins Day was inspired by twins Aaron and Moses Wilcox, who changed the name of their town of Melville to Twinsburg in 1819, by donating six acres of land.
The first twin festival was hosted in Twinsburg in 1976. National Twins Day was born during the second annual festival.
The festival is celebrated with different themes including Double Fun, The Roaring TWINties, Two-of-of-type and more.
