F1 22 Crossplay trial dates

EA has confirmed that F1 22 will receive a crossover update later this month in an effort to make it easier for players to play together. As mentioned above, we don’t know exactly when this will happen, but there is a good chance that it will happen during the last week of the month.

And ahead of the full cross-play launch at the end of August, there will be two separate cross-play experiences over the coming weeks.

It has been confirmed that the dates include August 5-7 and August 12-14, with the new patch available across PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

This also includes PC gamers from around Steam & Origin / EA Play who can participate as part of the project. EA has confirmed that F1 22 will be active across Players’ Social Racing and Career modes.

The official dates and times for the F1 2022 trials are as follows:

  • Session 1: Friday, August 5th at 11am UTC – Sunday, August 7th at 11pm UTC.
  • Session 2: Friday August 12th at 11am UTC – Sunday August 14th at 11pm UTC.

In order to participate in cross-play experiences, you will need to enable cross-play in Game Options > Settings menu. On Xbox, you may need to enable cross-play in your account settings.

After you enable cross-play, when you select Social Race, you will have the ability to invite and join other sessions across all platforms. Adds a message from EA:

The Friends Hub is where you can review any pending friend requests or session invites. You can also search for and add friends in addition to those you’ve raced with recently. Friends Hub can be accessed from the main menu by clicking the left joystick (or F10 on the Dashboard keys) and then select the Friends option.”
