The internet has seen many hateful rumors lately, like the last one claiming that famous actor Tom Selleck is now dead.
A number of widely circulated posts on Twitter claim that the Hollywood star is gone, and some fans have come to believe it.
Like Tom, many celebrities have fallen prey to such baseless rumors that have left fans worried.
This is where Tom’s death hoax stems from.
Tom Selleck is not dead
A YouTube channel famous for spreading false rumors about celebrity deaths is responsible for the hoax surrounding Tom.
On July 26, a video titled “10 minutes ago / RIP Tom Selleck / Died of a critical illness / Goodbye Tom Sellec” was shared on the channel with over 22,800 subscribers.
Not only is the claim that there is no evidence, but that he misspelled the actor’s last name.
The description only explains the details of his career, without any mention of his false death. Many criticized the channel in the comments for fabricating sick rumors about celebrities just for the sake of attention.
The same channel also claims that Chuck Norris passed away today – which is as ridiculous a claim as the hoax of Tom’s death.
The actor is alive in 2022
We can confirm that Tom is alive and well in 2022.
He is currently cast on CBS Blue blood Like Frank Reagan, the NYPD Police Commissioner.
Season 13 of the hit series is scheduled to return in October 2022.
Tom is not active on social media but appears often on talk shows or virtual interviews.
Recently he went on The Kelly Clarson Show and Rachel gave an interview to him.

Ridiculous rumors worry fans
It was called “sick” or “clickbait”, but in the recent past, many unverified reports alleging false deaths of celebrities have taken over social media, alarming fans.
Other celebrities who have similarly been cheated on death include Tom Holland, Snoop Dogg, Shane Dawson and Will Smith.
Although the claim about Tom is clearly untrue, many fans fell in love with him and were very concerned. Others soon debunked the hoax.
A concerned fan commented under the video, “I just cried..is it true or not?? I don’t understand why they say this…..hope it’s true or not?”
“Don’t believe this. Tom Selleck is very much alive. Lies!!!!” wrote another fan.
