Bill Russell’s family announced his death through a statement On Sunday 31st July. The NBA legend was 88 years old at the time of his death.
The statement drew attention to his achievements and contributions outside the field over the years. While his successful basketball career is well known to the world, some are curious to know about his personal life after his death.
Bale was the NBA Most Valuable Player five times, having won 11 championships during his thirteen-year career.

Bell was born to Katie and Charles Russell.
He was married four times and has three children.
At the time of his death, he was married to his fourth wife, Janine, who is believed to be a competitive golfer.
Bell did not share how he met his last wife, but he adored her. He posted a photo with her on January 25, 2021, in which the couple renewed their marriage vows.
Meanwhile, Bell’s first marriages were Rose Swisher from 1956 to 1973, Dorothy Anstette from 1977 to 1980, and Marilyn Nolte from 1996 to 2009.
Bell shares all three of his children with his first wife. They are Jacob Russell, William Russell Jr., and Karen Russell.

From interrupting an exhibition game in 1961 to revealing a very long-standing distinction, to leading the first integrated basketball camp. in Mississippi in the aftermath of the assassination of Medgar Evans, to decades of activism that was finally recognized by his receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2010.”
“Bell advocated injustice with the unforgiving frankness he intended to disrupt the status quo, and by a powerful example that, though not of his humble intent, it would forever inspire togetherness, selflessness, and deliberate change,” it reads.
