according to Fabrizio RomanoWest Ham target Angelino is now looking seriously at joining Hoffenheim.
What’s the story?
Well, the Hammers have already suffered a slap in the face this week as Amadou Onana turned down a move to West Ham in favor of joining Everton, despite the fact that Lille had accepted a £33m offer from Irons.
Now, it looks like David Moyes will lose another Angelino goal.
Indeed, it’s a triple-hit for West Ham, as Hoffenheim are only interested in the £16m man because RB Leipzig pressed David Raum – another Moyes target – from them.
Romano believes Hoffenheim is optimistic about signing the Spaniard, and that RB Leipzig are ready to sell the left-back they have signed from Manchester City.
Interestingly, West Ham’s head of recruitment Rob Newman had already played a key role in bringing Angelino to the Etihad, so many people felt Hammers had a good chance of signing the defender.
Now, however, Moyes may need to look elsewhere.
West Ham are still busy despite Angelino’s setback
There is some good news for West Ham supporters.
A Maxwel Cornet deal appears close, as the Ivory Coast international prepares to seek medical treatment in east London after Irons triggered his £17.5m release clause.
The option became effective after Burnley suffered relegation from the Premier League.
Elsewhere, attempts to bring Philip Kostik to the London Stadium continue, and the Serbia international is presumably fond of a move to West Ham.
So, we could see some progress in this endeavor soon.
However, the 29-year-old has been offered to Juventus and Inter Milan, so this deal is far from simple.
Be sure to keep an eye on developments in West Ham, as they certainly seem to be very busy.
