The chairman of the regional Public Monitoring Commission confirmed to the Russian news agencies Navalny has been moved to the IK-6 prison in the village of Melekhovo in the Vladimir region, wife of the jailed politician claims her husband has been given extra 15 years in jail over ‘extremism.
Navalny is serving a nine-year prison sentence in March 2022 for fraud and contempt of court, both of which he contested as politically motivated and attempts by the government to keep him in prison for as long as possible.

He spent the majority of his time at a three-room apartment in southeast Moscow’s Maryino District from 1998 to 2021. He spent some of these years under house arrest at his home in southeast Moscow.
