August 2022 is here, which means a bunch of new events are coming to Pokemon GO, including new events and a bunch of new raid bosses.
As always in Pokemon GO, when a new month comes, there is a semi-reset with a lot of things to get stuck in.

All Pokemon GO events in August 2022
Here you will find a breakdown of all the events happening in the game this month:
bug out
The first event of the month is titled “Bug Out” and will focus, as you can probably imagine, on different Bug-type Pokémon. From Wednesday 10 August to Tuesday 16 August.
Pokemon GO Community Day takes place on Saturday, August 13th and will focus on the Galarian Zigzagoon. It’s probably popular as the Normal/Dark Pokemon has one of the coolest shiny forms in Pokemon history.
2022 World Pokémon Championship event
This year’s Pokémon World Championship event is being held in London, but you don’t need to be there to participate. As the tournaments embrace Pokemon GO for the first time, Niantic will be holding an in-game event to celebrate. Few details have been shared so far but it will run from Thursday, August 18th to Tuesday, August 23rd.
Pokémon GO Fest 2022: The End
Another event where not many details have been shared is the Pokemon GO Fest Finale, which takes place on Saturday, August 27.

What else is happening this month?
There are a few other small details happening in Pokemon GO in August 2022.
There are the usual Spotlight and Raid Hours events, as well as the Pokemon GO Fest event that takes place in Sapporo, Japan.
Besides, Niantic has confirmed that it is adding some new anti-cheat measures to the game.
