Bill Lann Lee Biography– Bill Lann Lee (born February 5, 1949) is an American civil rights lawyer who worked for President Bill Clinton as Assistant United States Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice.

Lee was born to Chinese immigrants in New York City. Lee’s father, William, had just a sixth-grade education and entered the United States by way of Canada, avoiding the Chinese Exclusion Act.
