Bruno Tonioli (born November 25, 1955) is an Italian choreographer, ballerina, latin dancer, and television personality. He has judged the British television dance competition Strictly Come Dancing as well as her American adaptation of Dancing with the Stars on ABC TV in the United States. Tonioli co-created and appeared on the BBC talent show DanceX, as well as its American counterpart Dance War: Bruno vs.
Tonioli competed in, but did not win, a UK competition, for selection to take part in the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest as part of the Duke and the Aces group. Tonioli has worked as a choreographer in the music industry for artists such as Tina Turner, Sting, Elton John, Rolling Stones, Freddie Mercury, Cinita, Boy George, Dead O Alive, Bananarama and Duran Duran. He appeared in Elton John’s video for “I’m Still Standing” (1983).

After 20 years of using hair dye, Bruno Tonioli came out of the shutdown and went gray. The 64-year-old Strictly Come Dancing judge said he feels “liberating” with his new look. Last Friday, he confirmed that he will resume his role in the upcoming series with a reduced capacity.
