Adapted from Mark Greaney’s 2009 novel of the same name, The Gray Man stars Ryan Gosling as “Sierra Six,” a CIA assassin who orchestrates a string of difficult successes. However, his organization turns against him when he discovers a device that contains agency secrets.
Lloyd Hansen is tasked by Chris Evans to hunt him down, and they are caught up in a game of cat and mouse.

No, Sierra Six doesn’t die in the Gray Man.
Detailing how he survived, the ending sees Six and Lloyd face off in a fight scene from the set of Fountain and Six promises to make it to the top.
However, before he can finish things off, Susan Brewer – Denny Carmichael’s deputy – arrives on the scene and kills Lloyd, revealing that she plans to pin all criminal activity on him to clear her agency of any wrongdoing.
She also shot six in the leg so he could not escape and was sent back to prison. To prevent him from revealing the truth about the CIA, Susan takes Claire into custody; As long as he closes his mouth, she will still be trapped but safe. However, the six we’ve come to know over the course of the movie wouldn’t take this on the chin.
The final scene reveals that six have been released from prison and Claire is rescued as they set off to freedom. On the other hand, we can expect to follow them up in a potential supplement.

Sitting down to chat with Collider, Ryan Gosling recently opened up about his and the Russo brothers’ love of action cinema while explaining what drew him to the role:
“If you think you like action movies, they like it more. They’ve spent the last decade making it and they’re doing a great job. But I also thought this character was really interesting. He’s the kind of spy who doesn’t want to be a spy. He’d rather be in Home watches Netflix, like the rest of us. He doesn’t want to be in that movie.”
Ryan added, “He doesn’t want to have anything to do with this world. He just wants a normal life. And he’s like, ‘His life is just a thing, so it’s kind of…there’s such a blue-collar Bond quality that I thought was really… It seemed so much fun.”

Is The Gray Man 2 confirmed?
No, neither Netflix nor the Russo brothers have confirmed a sequel.
However, there are plenty of sequels in Mark Greene’s novel series that could be adapted, and Russo told Insider that they “would like to make another film as directors,” but it ultimately depends on how the audience responds to the film and how commercially successful it is for Gateway.
The Gray Man is streaming exclusively on Netflix.
