When is Hearthstone Castle Nathria release date?
The date and time of Hearthstone’s release at Castle Nathria are set for Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
The game is expected to be updated first in North America at 10AM PT, with first players receiving UK last at 6PM BST on the same day.
It’s worth noting that, as with previous expansions, launch times are expected to vary by regions and platforms. North American PC gamers will be the first to launch the Castle Nathria expansion, with mobile users falling behind on iOS and Android. EU servers and other world servers may take longer to update depending on the stress, which may mean that the DLC may not arrive for some until August 3rd.
No maintenance has been scheduled for Hearthstone’s servers, but players will want to keep an eye on whether Blizzard shares any further news regarding the game’s next expansion schedule.
According to the official Blizzard expansion description, Sire Denathrius was killed in Shadowlands after inviting 10 of his peers and enemies to Castle Nathria for a dinner party so he could address malicious rumors that he was storing anima, life energy that is a drain on tormented souls and used to power Shadowlands.
Another message explains: “But just after the festivities began, Sire Denathrius is found dead! A group of enemies doesn’t seem to make a good dinner party. Now the illustrious Murloc Holmes, and his trusted friend Watfin, have been summoned to solve the case. Find the new location cards, And follow the trail of the Infused minions, interrogate the ten legendary suspects, and help determine who committed the murder at Castle Nathria.”
As part of the new expansion, which will see more than 100 new cards added to the game, each class will have a Legendary Operator who has become the prime suspect in the murder of Sire Denathrius. A new keyword is also added to the game, cards with the keyword Infuse gain the ability to absorb anima from your friendly minions as they die. When the total is reached, the Infuse Card will evolve into a better version, making it the only way to unlock its final form.
The new location card type will debut on August 2 along with all other changes, providing powerful effects for those who activate it and who are willing to wait to reap the rewards. Each activation will cost one durability, and each class will get their own location card in Castle Nathria.
