‘It was too much concern to send it’
Speaking with Collider, director David Leitch opened up about Brad Pitt’s pregnancy aboard Ladybug:
“…Getting Brad Pitt in a movie is like lightning in a bottle. And so, when Kelly brought me the Bullet Train and I read it, and we were like, ‘…Okay, Ladybug, it’s Brad.'” It must be Brad. And speaking to Sanford Banitch, they did a bunch of movies with Brad together, and he was like, “We can do it. We can have it. We can have it.”
He continued, “…it was so stressful to send it. I was just like, ‘Does he want to do that?’ And Sanford is like, ‘I’m doing it, I’m doing it.’ So Sanford sent her…. Brad threw the text at Wolf, and so he tells the story. He was like, he was. He was laughing at his ass.”
David remembers saying Brad “I can play this guy. Oh, and he’s David. I want to do something with him. And I have a window. That feels great.”
