Olivia Newton-John lived on her farm in Santa Ynez

In her later years, the singer and actress lived on her ranch in Santa Ynez, California, which she purchased with her husband John Easterling in 2015 for $4.69 million.

The 12-acre property includes a main house, guest house, barn, and several areas for horses, including a stable, yard, and large pastures.

It has a western farmhouse feel inside with all-wooden features, a great pool, outdoor seating and entertaining area.

The main house has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a dining room – the guest house has two bedrooms too!

It’s also in a stunning location, right on the banks of the Santa Ynez River in Southern California. TODAY has posted some photos inside the impressive property if you want to take a peek.

The actress put it up for sale in 2019

In 2019, Olivia and John put the farm up for sale for $5.4 million because they wanted to downsize.

“Olivia and her husband would like to downsize now but have loved their time on the farm here,” Carrie Kendall of Village Properties Realtors, who offered the farm for sale, told TODAY.

She also said, “As a sign of the area, they would like to stay in Santa Ynez for their landing point in California.”

However, a source told the New York Post that when her cancer worsened, she decided to spend her remaining years at home.

“She was in great pain, but she was a fighter. The place was her heaven on earth and gave her many moments of calm in her last days.”

After she was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, it came back in 2013 and then spread to her spine in 2017 and progressed to stage IV.

In October 2021, she transferred ownership of the property to her husband John, who refinanced the mortgage with only $2.5 million left on it.

Michael Caprio, a friend of the grease icon and publicist, also told the New York Post that she “loved” the house.

She sold her real estate portfolio

After being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, the singer began selling her properties to invest in the Melbourne-based Olivia Newton-John Center for Cancer Research and Wellness.

In addition to the Santa Ynez Ranch, it also brought its 189-acre Australian ranch to the market and sold for $4.6 million.

She launched the Cancer Foundation with her husband in October 2020, which aims to fund global research into botanical medicines and the comprehensive treatment of cancer.

“These investments in new scientific research will educate patients and their caregivers about more gentle cancer treatment options,” the foundation’s website says.

She believed in treating illness with natural remedies, including cutting out sugar and using medicinal cannabis tinctures.

Page Six notes that John has actually grown hemp plants on his farm, and is also the CEO and Chairman of Amazon Herb.

He describes himself on Instagram as a “botanical researcher” and founded the company, which helps the world learn about the health benefits of Amazon rainforest plants, in 1990.
