Is MultiVersus On Nintendo Switch? PS4, Xbox & Steam Support Explained

MultiVersus built a strong fan base during the short early access period on PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms, but players on Nintendo Switch were left out.

It looks like Brave will feature an ever-expanding roster of characters, with the current roster featuring Batman, Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, and Harley Quinn.

And with LeBron James and Rick and Morty soon to be added to the roster, there are those on the Switch who would love to get a chance to play, too.

Is MultiVersus on the Nintendo Switch?

MultiVersus is not on the Nintendo Switch, and it hasn’t been announced that it will arrive on the handheld console during 2022.

As of 9AM PDT on July 26, the MultiVersus Open Beta is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One consoles, and PC. Steam will host the beta on the PC platform, without mentioning the Epic Games Store or GOG support.

The good news is that cross-play and cross-advance play are available across all platforms, which means you have two different options to play with friends. It’s possible that MultiVersus will be ported to the Nintendo Switch in the future, as the open beta has no expiration date.

But as of today, there has been no announcement from Warner Bros Games that such support is being worked on. It should also be noted that the MultiVersus Open Beta is available in the Americas, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

As confirmed above, LeBron James and Rick and Morty will be added to the character roster, with current content published today as part of the MultiVersus open beta date:

Characters: Superman, Finn the Human, Garnet, and Reindog will be unlocked immediately as part of an updated preview rotation. All non-preview characters can be unlocked through gameplay.

Maps: The Batcave (DC), Tree Fort (Adventure Time), Scooby’s Haunted Mansion (Scooby-Doo), Sky Arena (Steven Universe), Trophy’s EDGE, Trophy’s EDGE 2, Training Room.

Modes: 2 vs 2 team based co-op, 1 vs 1 match, 4 player free-for-all, 1-4 players in local matches, AI vs. co-op matches, dedicated online lobbies, lab (exercise mode) and tutorials.

A MultiVersus Pre-Season Battle Pass is also available and allows players to complete challenges and unlock in-game rewards, with free levels included. The first Battle Pass will run until August 8 and will be replaced by a full version of Season 1 on August 9. All player progression and rewards unlocked during Early Access and through the pre-season Battle Pass will move to the Open Beta on July 26.
