We’re now in the second week of August, which means we’re about to have the Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour of the month, and this time featuring Female Nidoran with players wondering if he could ever be a shiner.
August is set to be a busy month, with the Bug Out event now underway, the 2022 Pokemon World Championship event and the Pokemon GO Fest Finale event yet to come.
Besides all of that, there are still a few of the usual spotlight hours, raid hours and of course the monthly community day that revolves around the wonderful Galarian Zigzagoon.

August 8th details hour highlight and rewards
Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour kicks off August 8th at the usual time around the world – 6pm locally. It runs, as I expected, for an hour and ends at 7 PM.
Last week’s Hisuian Voltorb Spotlight Hour and this week’s Nidoran Female watch will share the same rewards.
Players will get 2x XP for every Pokémon they catch in an hour window, which is an excellent opportunity to level up.
Is Lady Nidoran Shining During August 8th Pokémon Go To The Light Hour?
There is good news for anyone who hasn’t picked it up yet.
Nidoran Female can be shining during August 8th Pokemon GO Spotlight Hour.
The illustrious Nidoran Female line, which includes Nidoran, Nidorina, and Nidoqueen, has been available in the game since October 2018, when Pokemon GO hosted a celebration of the International Day of the Girl.
In the tweet below, you’ll notice that Shiny Nidoran F is more purple and pink than the usual light blue Pokémon.
Unfortunately, the brightness of a Nidoran Female will not be boosted during the Spotlight Hour as it is during Community Day.
This means that you will have to click as many as possible to give yourself the best chance of meeting one.
