This is a movie about hope.
Whoopi Goldberg recently sat down with Screenrant and was asked what it means to deliver a message of perseverance to the audience in the face of tough times:
“What this movie does is it shows us that if we’re present, we can actually see the good in what seems like a terrible thing. How do we bring that out and polish it up and stick to the good? This is a movie about hope, change, laughter, family, who a family is, and what a family looks like.” “.
She continued, “Who knows who we are, really, at our core? I think most of us are pretty decent people. There are some who are disrespectful but I think most of us are at least trying to be decent. And that’s what the movie says. You do what you can. Just try You may see lucky money if you are open to it.”
