Speaking on the Transfer Talk Podcast, Sky Sports’ Pete Graves was discussing Newcastle United and their interest in James Madison.
The Magpies are keen to bring Maddison to the club this summer, having already made two bids and, according to Greaves, there is a real chance the England international could end up at St James’ Park.
In Graves’ view, there is a 50% chance this deal will happen, while people inside Newcastle have indicated that there is a lot of work to be done if United are to move past this deal.

Graves shared what he was hearing about Maddison.
“Do I think James Madison is going to sign? It’s really tough and I have to say I’m 50/50. I think there’s some way to go about with this. The feeling I get from the people I’ve spoken to at the club is that there is work to be done, but They were encouraged by entering a second show. Will they go in for a third time? And Graves said they wouldn’t bid if they thought there was no chance, but that Leicester would have to drop their demands a bit.
