Judd Bellingham told Sky Sports: According to Football Daily – That Tottenham star Harry Kane is a “louder” captain than Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus, with the German preferring to “supervise” things from a distance.
Kane, 29, is set to remain at Spurs for the 2022-23 season after another impressive season in which he played a crucial role for Spurs to reach the top four. Dortmund could face next season, having finished the second season last.
Reus, 33, is well liked and loved at Dortmund – like Kane at Tottenham. Although he is not a producer for Dortmund, he is now working for the club for 10 seasons. In 356 matches with Dortmund, he scored 153 goals.
Comparing his two captains – Kane to England, and 164,000 sterling ace Reus in Dortmund – Bellingham said Kane’s voice is louder. He also praised the Spurs star and Reus for their presentation at major events.
“I’d probably say Harry’s a little louder, to be fair.” Bellingham said. “Marco oversees everything and dedicates it to the other players. But when he needs to speak, he always says the right things.
“Same with Harry. They always lead by example and are really good players. They give their services at important moments. They always take care of everyone, and they always make sure everyone is nice.”
Bellingham: Tottenham star Kane is ‘higher’ than Rios
Kane will remain Tottenham captain for a large part of Bellingham’s career in England – there is no doubt about that. But Reus may not be the Dortmund captain for much longer, with his contract expiring next summer.
What is certain, however, is that Bellingham could end up replacing Reus sooner rather than later in terms of captaincy. In the future, he may replace Kane as England captain – he certainly has all the qualities to do so.
