Lord Alan Sugar remembers Bernard Cribbins in Fawlty Towers amid death

Lord Alan Sugar has shared his favorite memory of Bernard Crippens in Fawlty Towers after the acting legend passed away at the age of 93.

Today, July 28, it was confirmed that the actor has passed away in a statement from his agent Gavin Barker Associates calling him “unique” and saying Cribbins “will be missed a lot.”

The statement read: “Beloved Actor Bernard Crippens OBE has passed away at the age of 93. His career spanned over seven decades with diverse works that ranged from films such as, railway children and the Continue in 60 . hit song series Right said Fredthe infamous guest in Fawlty Towers and a novel wombs.

“He did well in his 90s, and recently appeared in Doctor from The CBeebies series Jack’s old boat.

“Barnard’s contribution to British entertainment is without doubt. He was unique, representing the best of his generation, and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.”

Although young fans of the actor may remember him for his role alongside David Tennant in Doctor fromOthers may remember him starring alongside John Cleese on the hit show in the ’70s Fawlty Towers.

Lord gave sugar my condolences to the late actor by remembering him on the show and sharing his favorite moment with Cribbins.

Cribbins appeared in Fawlty Towers The “Hotel Inspectors” episode in which Basil Fawlty, Cleese’s character, and the owner of “Fawlty Towers” hangs up and is on high alert when he hears that hotel inspectors are in the area.

During the 1975 episode, he ends up adjusting his usual behavior when he suspects one of his guests is the inspector, and then goes to play a guessing game with a dramatic outcome – which is standard for Basil.

Crippens’ character, Mr. Hutchinson, calls out Basil for his behavior and when Basil tries to physically silence him, he loses face first at his dinner.

The late actor is probably best known for his role in the film adaptation of The Railway Children from 1970, where he played janitor Albert Birx, and appeared in a scene in which the children meet their father on the stage.
