Lucy Hale can’t keep a secret and calls Pretty Little Liars Original Sin ‘really dark’

Got a secret? Well, Aria Montgomery wouldn’t keep it. OG cast member Lucy Hale has given her opinion on Pretty Little Liars’ new spin-off, the original Sin.

Lucy Hale is one of the five Pretty Little Liars who became famous during the original series, which ran for a total of seven seasons from 2010 to 2017.

The story follows a group of friends who are chased by an unknown person for their secrets after the disappearance of their girlfriend and group leader, Alison DiLaurentis. However, as the seasons continue, more secrets, romance, and drama unfold in the city of Rosewood.

Today (July 28, 2022) a new series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin will be released tonight.

Lucy, who played the character of Aria Montgomery, has already given her opinion on the new spin-off.

‘Really dark’ crossover

No, Lucy hasn’t appeared in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin – yet. However, as an OG actress, she had the chance to see her first appearance before it was officially released on HBO Max.

Hosting the series’ premiere, the 33-year-old actress told E! The news: “There’s just enough knowledge that people are going to love it, and the original fans will love it. But it’s different, it’s really scary and dark.”

When asked by the lecturer about her thoughts on continuing the era of PPL after five years, she revealed, “I knew my life was going to change. But to be here, hosting something for a new generation of liars is absolutely outrageous.”

Lucy continued, “It’s just showing off. I don’t want to say legacy because that’s a huge word, but PLL’s legacy lives on and I think that’s a lot of fun.”

How did Aria’s character affect Lucy

Over a decade ago, Lucy Hale became Aria Montgomery. At the age of twenty, she interpreted the role that completely changed her life and shaped her career.

Five years after the finale, the actress remembered her good old days as Arya and how the character allowed her to experiment. She specifically referred to her “inner stylist”.

Telling how her character was affected during and after the show, she said, “I wasn’t that girl. I wasn’t a risk taker. I think if it weren’t for Aria on that show and Mandi Line creating kind of this iconic look, I don’t know if I would have been willing to take the risks outside of the show.” “.

Fans have to admit, I’ve pulled in some pretty trendy looks!

Since it ended in 2017, Pretty Little Liars fans have been getting a lot of content over the past years.

Ravenswood became the series’ first spin-off in 2013, starring Tyler Blackburn (Caleb Rivers) and Nicole Gil Anderson (Miranda Collins). The series was released during the active years of its original series but was canceled after one season.

The show’s second spin-off, The Perfectionists, took over two years after the conclusion of the PPL. In the series, there were the original faces of Sasha Peters (Allison DiLaurentis) and Janelle Parrish (Mona Vanderwaal). It also wrapped up after one season.

Now, a new series titled Original Sin will begin a new journey. With an all-new cast (without original faces), the series will begin a journey of five liars, beauties, and little liars who go through a series of tragic events.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin premieres exclusively on HBO Max on July 28, 2022.
