NBA star Kyrie Irving banned for at least five games after sharing link to anti-Semitic documentary

A week after Kyrie Irving uploaded a link to a film that promotes anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, the Brooklyn Nets have suspended the NBA star.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) claims that the documentary Hebrews To Negroes: Wake Up Black America “amplifies longstanding anti-Semitic tropes about Jewish power, control, and greed” and casts doubt on the scale of the genocide of Jews during the Holocaust.

Last week, Irving tweeted a link to the documentary.

After refusing to expressly apologize for endorsing the film and/or “unambiguously affirm he has no anti-Semitic attitudes,” the 30-year-old has been suspended for at least five games without pay.
