What is the cut-off point for nursing training?
WASSCE: A cut off aggregate score of Forty Eight (48) or better in six subjects, comprising 3 core and 3 elective subjects.
SSSCE: A cutoff aggregate score of Thirty (30) or better in six subjects, comprising 3 core and 3 elective subjects
How do I apply for nursing training in Ghana?
- Purchase application voucher from any Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) or Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) branch at a cost of One Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢100.00). (This includes the cost of verification of results, SMS alerts and all other correspondence).
- Upon payment, applicants will receive a voucher giving them a unique PIN and Serial Number.
- Have a dedicated phone number and a personal valid e-mail address for all correspondence. 4. You will need you residential and Ghana Post Digital Address
- Use the PIN code and Serial to access the application form online at healthtraining.gov.gh
What grades do you need for nursing?
For someone who really needs to be admitted in a Nursing Training College, he or she needs an aggregate not more than 24 to make it to the College. A grade between 6 to 24 can be sure deal for a successful admission into the Nursing Training College.
Can D7 go to training college?
NO. D7 is not accepted in the Nursing Training Colleges in Ghana. In addition, an applicant must attain the total aggregate not exceeding 24.
For WASSCE candidates, they should attain grade of atleast credits (A1-C6) in three core subjects. .e. English, Mathematics and Integrated Science and credits of atleast A1-C6 in any elective subjects.
For SSSCE candidates, they should attain atleast passes (A-D) in three core subjects i.e English, Mathematics and Integrated Science Science and credits of atleast A-D in any elective subjects.
NB: i. All purchased vouchers are valid up to 10th June, 2022 if not used.
