Rank Reset & Patch Notes (August 1)

Valve today released a new update for CS: GO, bringing one major change that fans will notice right away.

According to the patch notes, a new matchmaking fix was released on August 1 that looks to reset ranks as part of a new push by the development team.

This means that anyone who wants to discover their new skill set must play at least one match and win it to recover the information.

matching
Normally when we ship changes to the match system in CS: GO, the mods are small enough that we don’t include them in our release notes. However, today’s update affects all CS: GO players so it requires some explanation.

When you play CS: GO, you will notice that your skill set is not displayed – you will have to win another match to reveal your skill set. Most of you will notice a change in your skill set, but some of you may find that you are in the right place already.

So jump into a match, or two, or whatever it takes for your next win. Also, for those who are still interested, it’s the last week to purchase Antwerp 2022 stickers – they’re in store until August 8th.
