Fabrizio Romano reported on Twitter Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are ready to part with Callum Hudson-Odoi in the summer transfer window, with Southampton and Leicester City interested in the winger.
The well-known and respected journalist has claimed that Hudson-Odoi can now leave Chelsea for regular playing time.
Southampton want to sign the 21-year-old winger on loan and is now pressing, according to Romano.
The Italian journalist added that Leicester is also keen to secure the services of the English international winger in the summer transfer window.
Southampton and Leicester City want Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi
Getting out is logical
From our point of view, it would make sense for Callum Hudson-Odoi to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window, possibly on a loan deal.
If Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel cannot guarantee regular playing time for the winger this season, there will be no point in the England player staying at Stamford Bridge and simply warming up the bench.
If Southampton were keen on the young Englishman, they would surely have a plan to use him regularly, and that would encourage the Chelsea winger.
Hudson-Odoi played 11 games and four substitute matches in the Premier League with Chelsea last season.
The 21-year-old scored one goal and provided assists in those matches.
The winger also scored one goal and provided assists in five Champions League matches last season.
