The new Rust Console Survey is just around the corner, and players will also receive their first major update in July 2022.
The team at Double Eleven warned that this week’s patch won’t be as extensive as others released in 2022.
But fans will still want to know when the next Rust Console Edition scan starts, and what to expect next.

When will the next Rust Console Edition be erased?
The next Rust Console survey will begin at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM GMT on Thursday, July 28, across PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
The developers Double Eleven like to use an easy-to-follow style for players so that no one gets bogged down in the big action. And just like previous months, a new update for Rust will be released on the same day.
This will happen a few hours before the traditional scanning time and should give everyone enough notice on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X consoles to stay up to date. The Rust Console Edition team also warned that this week’s update won’t be as big as some of the others.
This is because the team is working on a new expansion that isn’t ready for release yet but could debut later in 2022. The cargo ship will be the next memorial to be released in the Rust Console edition, spawning every two hours on servers to give players A chance to loot it before it completely traverses the map.
The ship comes complete with protectors, making it a real challenge for anyone who wants the best rewards. Locked chests in the shop will have better loot but require players to hack them for 15 minutes, similar to chests in oil rigs.
However, today’s Rust Console update won’t be quite as ambitious and should be available for download around 12pm GMT UK, along with a new skin spin in the Store. A message from Double Eleven explains: “With the majority of the team working on Oceanbound, this monthly survey will not have a significant update with it. As mentioned earlier, we want to stay focused so we can release this new content as quickly as possible.”
“The update will be available for download at 11am UTC on the 28th, and will come much sooner than usual to give enough time for those who need to download it before the scanning process begins.”
