The Sea Of Thieves Season 7 release date and update time have been set for this week by Microsoft for Xbox and PC.
The countdown to the next major expansion could officially begin, with less than 48 hours remaining before developers Rare are ready to drop the next exciting DLC.
Fans had to wait longer than expected after Microsoft changed its original plans to drop the seventh season of Sea of Thieves during July.
Here’s what fans can expect when the next Pirate update arrives before the end of the week.

When is The Sea Of Thieves Season 7 release date?
The release date and time for Season 7 of The Sea of Thieves is set at 2AM PT / 5AM ET / 10AM GMT on Thursday, August 4, 2022.
This is when the servers will be disconnected, and a short maintenance period, lasting about an hour, will start. There is an opportunity to extend it if necessary, and players must keep track of the latest information via the official Sea of Thieves social media accounts.
After the downtime, you must download the new Sea of Thieves Season 7 update so you can access the servers again and start your next adventure as a pirate captain.
When Season 7 begins, players will find that they can purchase and name their own ship, with plenty of options added. Pirate Captains will not only have a chance to buy a ship, but they will also have the chance to buy one of each class, plus more after reaching Legendary status with one.
More customization options will be added to your ship, including changing your spots with different designs and pieces. After purchasing a ship, you will find that your fleet will not start as a new design when you spawn. Instead, players will notice that the battle scars will remain in place, with each blemish remaining as part of owning a ship.
Players will be able to fix any issues they see, but it’s just another new feature coming to the game as part of Sea of Thieves Season 7. Expect to share more news when the official patch notes are shared later this week.
