Sergey Brin ex-wife Anne Wojcicki’s successful family includes YouTube CEO

Prior to his marriage to Nicole Shanahan, the head of Google, Sergey Brin, was married to Ann Wojcicki, co-founder of 23AndMe.

Google co-founder Sergey Brin is currently trending after a Wall Street Journal report citing anonymous sources that his ex-wife Nicole Shanahan and Elon Musk had an alleged affair in December 2021. The SpaceX founder has denied the rumors, calling them “Total PS” “.

Despite the clarification, it hasn’t stopped the internet from investigating Brian’s personal life, highlighting his past marriage to Anne Wojcicki.

Who is Ann Wojcicki?

Born July 5, 1968, he is 48 years old of Polish descent. Her mother, Esther, came from an educated family, was a teacher and author, while her father, Stanley, was a former chair of the physics department at Stanford University.

She may be Greene’s ex-husband, but she’s so much more than a billionaire’s wife. Growing up on the Stanford campus, I was given the freedom to explore the neighborhood.

Her childhood inspired her to launch 23AndMe, a biotechnology company that provides genetic testing services to clients. “I wanted to have a company that was, frankly, a little bit rebellious and would inspire people to try to be really healthier,” she told Y Combinator in 2018.

The company’s genetic testing suite was launched in 2006, won Invention of the Year by Time magazine two years later, and 23AndMe’s value rose to $3.5 billion after its merger with British billionaire Richard Branson in June 2021.

Wojcicki and Brin’s empire put them at number 90 and 30 on Forbes’ most powerful lists, so they were the ultimate power couple.

The couple married in May 2007 and welcomed two children, Ben and Chloe, in 2008 and 2011, respectively. 2015 saw their official divorce.

If they were still married today, their combined net worth would have been $107.3 billion.

Ann’s sister is the CEO of YouTube

Wojcicki wasn’t the only very successful kid. Her two older sisters are Susan – CEO of YouTube – and Janet, an anthropologist, and professor of pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco.

You have known Susan Brin since at least 1998 when he set up Google in her garage. She became the company’s first Director of Marketing and served as the Senior Vice President of Advertising and Commerce at Google.

The popularity of YouTube became the main competitor to the search engine against their video service, so after recommending to buy the platform for more than a billion dollars, she eventually became the CEO of YouTube in 2014.

Susan wins her sister’s 18th Forbes list of the most powerful women.
