Stars who got their big break in horror movies as Jamie Lee Curtis returns to Halloween

The trailer for Halloween Ends was released this week, with the movie set to hit theaters October 14 — with Jamie Lee Curtis returning to fight another nightmarish battle for her life.

The final installment of the series will allow viewers to witness the final confrontation between Laurie Strode (Curtis) and villain Michael Myers.

Halloween Ends is a follow-up to Halloween Kills, which was released last October.

Jamie Lee Curtis is starring in Halloween again

Curtis will play Laurie again, more than 40 years after he first played the protagonist.

The film stars Andy Matichak, Will Patton, Kyle Richards, Omar Dorsey, Nick Castle and James Judd Courtney. Curtis told Vogue that she remembers carrying Richards on her back on the last day of filming for the first movie in 1978.

“She was a little girl in that group and suddenly we were there, 40 years later as two big women with our family,” she said.

The screaming queen who hates horror

Despite her prolific roles in horror films, Curtis does not like the genre due to the fact that she is easily afraid, and she does not like to be afraid.

“It’s just a paradox that I ended up making a living out of fear,” she told Vogue last year.

However, Curtis explained to Entertainment Weekly that this is why she is so good at horror movies.

“It’s a natural response for me. I’ve had this awakening. Why did I end up making my mark in a genre that I hate? I’m going to be one of those people who will say, ‘You can’t pay me to go to a horror movie. Because I hate it.'” [But] Actually you Can Pay me to be afraid and you can pay me well! ” She said.
