THE COALITION OF UNSATISFIED 2021 NTC LICENSURE EXAMS CANDIDATES SET TO DRAG NTC TO COURT.
The Coalition of Unsatisfied 2021 NTC licensure exams is set to drag the National Teaching Council to court over what they described as unfair and biased manner in which the Council marked and released the March,2021 licensure exams.
With regards to the response from the national teaching Council (NTC) on the 09/08/2021 meeting, the members and the leadership of the group seems to be unsatisfied with the outcome of the meeting since they’re demands wasn’t met.
The Coalition OF Unsatisfied NTC 2021 Licensure Exam Candidates Set To Drag NTC To Court
Reasons for the court action are stated below:
👉 The National Teaching Council (NTC) did not apply the CODE OF CONDUCT which properly defines the verification of MARKED SCRIPTS process accordingly.
👉NTC should have allowed the defined number attached to the petition verify their marked scripts as stated clearly in the petition.
👉There are numerous errors detected by students on their portal
👉NTC is using the means of licensure exams to fail many qualified prospective teachers in order not to be licensed to get access to the job market since it is a major requirement for employment of teachers.
Therefore the leadership deemed it appropriate to seek redress in the
✍️ Law Court
✍️ Massive Demonstrations
✍️ Serous petition to the various stakeholders (The Parliament, ministries of education, The Ghana Education Service (GES), Office of the President etc.)
After a thorough discussion with members of the group, they came to a consensus to drag the National Teaching Council (NTC.) to the law Court to bring fairness, transparency and justice, respect for human rights and rule of law.
