Toyota Ghana To Partner Teacher Unions To Supply Teachers With Locally Manufactured Cars
For sometime now have suffered under the cruel dictate of the politics of Ghana and for sometime now, has led to fallen standards in the education sector.
A lot Civil Society Organizations, Education think tank and other stakeholders have urged the government to consider ways to improve living conditions of teachers in the country.
A lot of personalities are also calling for teachers to be considered under article 71 office holders and this as a result of the nature of the work.
Under this circumstances, teachers have been denied several allowances which ought to be given to them but due to the political behavioural descrepancies, the plight of the teacher continues to be thrown to the dogs.
It is against these happenings that Ghana Education Service, the Teacher Unions and Toyota Ghana have entered into negotiations to support teachers to own their means of transportation.
Toyota Ghana to produce small engine capacity cars for teachers, Government will subsidize the cost and teachers will pay the remaining amount by instalments for 84 months.
