Wakanda Forever trailer pays tribute to Chadwick Boseman

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever released its trailer at Comic-Con on Saturday and paid a touching tribute to Chadwick Boseman.

The footage, which included a stunning montage sequence, was unveiled by director Ryan Coogler and Marve Studeios.

Coogler told a panel at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend that we’re “putting our love for Chadwick into this movie.”

He also talked about how five years ago, the first ever footage was released at the same point.

“Five years ago, I sat there, and we showed the first footage from Black Panther,” Coogler said.

Sitting next to me, to my left, was T’Challa, the late great Chadwick Boseman.

“The actors, including Chad, hadn’t seen the footage yet, so when we played it, he was right next to me, excited, and grabbed my shoulder. If I saw Chad in person, he had these awesome hands.”

He added, “I promise I can feel his hand on me now.

“Chad is no longer with us physically, but his spirit, his passion, his genius, his pride, his culture, and the impact he had on this industry will forever be felt. We put our love for Chadwick into this film.”

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Trailer Drops

Boseman and T’Challa’s loss is evident from the beginning of the trailer, as Shuri – played by Letitia Wright – and Queen Ramonda – Angela Bassett – mourn their fallen king.

However, as the trailer continues, fans see the new Black Panther, but we have no idea who he is because their faces are hidden. Is it Shuri or someone else entirely?

The painting confirmed to Marvel fans rumors about whether Namor the Sub-Mariner, king of the state of Atlantis, would appear, portraying Tenoch Huerta.

Namur and Tishala competed in the 2013 comic book New Avengers, set by writer Jonathan Hickman.

And the speaker was Huerta himself at the hearing, who said it was an “honour” to be there.

He said, “I’m very happy to be here. It’s an honor. I want to say something really quick about the inclusion.”

“I came from the hood. Seriously. Thanks to the embed, I’m here. I wouldn’t be here without the embed.”

“There are a lot of kids wearing a hood, looking at us, dreaming of being here. And they will.”

However, he’s not the only new face, as fans are taking a look at Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) as Ironheart. She is set to have her own series on Disney+.
