Thursday, July 21 America’s collectors Host Mike Wolf announced that his former host has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke.
Mike took to Instagram and wrote, “I’ve been very private in the past year regarding Frank’s life and the journey he’s taken. There have been so many opinions regarding my friendship, Frank and the show but now is not the time to put things right. Now is the time to pray for My friend.
“Frank had a stroke and is in the hospital. Please keep him in your hearts and thoughts.
Was Diane Bankson the wife of Frank Fritz?
No, Diane Bankson was never Frank Fritz’s wife as the duo parted before they were married.
Frank was previously in a relationship with Diann, who occasionally appeared on his Facebook page, according to Distractify.
The outlet also reported that in 2016, Frank shared a photo of Diane and her daughter Paige as well as Paige’s daughter Eulalia. The pic reportedly shocked some of his followers after he called the child his “granddaughter”.
Frank Fritz reportedly later clarified that he and his girlfriend never married, but said, “Diane’s family is my family. It’s great to be Grandpa Frank! I love my girls.”
The Sun reported that Frank and Diane got engaged in 2017 and lived together in a farmhouse in Iowa. However, the couple didn’t come to the change and broke up sometime around 2019.

What Frank and Diane said about each other
According to The Sun, Diane claimed in 2020 that she caught Frank cheating two years ago.
She claimed that she “got in and caught him in bed with another woman.”
The two reconciled after the accident. However, the problems between the spouses did not end and Diane went to file a lawsuit against Frank. It was later withdrawn in March 2020.
In an interview with The Sun, Frank said, “The main problem was this girlfriend I had, I thought I was going to get married and bought a new house. Then I found out that the whole time while I was on the road, she had a boyfriend here.”
“You hurt my feelings, my self-respect and my whole world. I gave it a good shot, I tried to drink it away. I had never drunk this much before.”
Diane responded to Frank’s allegations, saying, “What he’s saying isn’t true. If he’s trying to make me look like a bad person of course I’d say it’s not true because he’s not.”
The American Pickers star’s health struggle
The sad news of Frank’s stroke came one year after he was fired as co-host of America’s collectors.
The star also recently lost 65 pounds and is believed to be living a healthier lifestyle. He has been outspoken about his alcoholism in the past.
He told The Sun in 2021 that he was signed into rehab for 77 days for alcohol abuse.
The antique dealer has also been battling Crohn’s disease for more than 30 years.
