Anne Heche has had an impressive 30-year career in Hollywood, but where is she now and what was she doing in 2022 before she had a tragic accident?

The Los Angeles Police Department told Deadline that on August 5, around 11 a.m., a “car caught fire” after it drove off the road to a home in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles.
“The vehicle was heading east on Preston Road at high speed, entered the T-junction on Preston Road and Walgrove Avenue, exited off the road and crashed into the residence located in the 1700th of Walgrove Building,” a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.
“The car caught fire and the driver was taken to a local hospital by LAFD.”
Police then told CNN Heche that she was left in a “critical condition,” but no other injuries were reported.
The Daily Mail reported that the actress had “severe burns and was intubated but is expected to live after the horrific incident”.
Ann Heck’s profession
Before the horrific incident, Heche had a long career in Hollywood that began more than 30 years ago in 1987. Before the 53-year-old graduated from high school, she was offered a role in the daytime TV series “As the World Turns”. The mother told her she couldn’t do that.
But before her actual graduation, she was offered another soapy role, this time in the feature-length series Another World.
Talking about it later, Heche remembered that her mother was against her going for the role, but she went for it anyway. She told The Telegraph in 2011: “Again I was told I couldn’t go. My mother was very religious and probably thought it was a sinner.
“But I got a phone call and said, Send me the ticket. I’m on the plane. I was like, ‘Bye bye!
The actress clearly made the right decision for her as she would go on to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Youngest Actress in a Drama Series in 1991. In the following years, Heche achieved astounding success in films including her roles in the high-profile films Volcano, I know what I did it last summer, and the dog shook. She even starred in a remake of the psychological classic Hitchcock.
In 2017, she reached another level when she starred as Joyce, the mentally ill mother of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, in the movie My Friend Dahmer before she joined the Chicago PD in 2018.
that’s heck now
Heche has displayed a different set of skills during the pandemic, when in 2020 she joined the cast as one of the celebrities to compete on the 29th season of Dancing With the Stars.
Her most recent debut this year began with Heche set to star alongside the likes of Lily-Rose Depp (Johnny Depp’s daughter) and Abel Tesfaye aka The Weeknd, in the upcoming show The Idol.
Heche has been described as a recurring member of the cast, but her character’s name has not yet been released, however, the premise of the show is to be a “cult drama.”
According to HBO, the series “Against the backdrop of the music industry, the series will focus on a self-help guru and modern day cult leader who enters into a complex relationship with a rising pop star.”
In 2021, Heche starred in the disaster film 13 Minutes and the CBS series All Rise.
