Along with the likes of Texas Chainsaw MassacreAnd the noAnd the victimAnd the menAnd, more than that, there was something for everyone, seeing horror mixed with action and sci-fi cinema. One of the newest items to catch the attention of genre fans is they/them.

Written and directed by John Logan, it’s actually his directorial debut, so audiences will be eager to know if this socially conscious American oscillator marks the arrival of a bold new talent in horror cinema. Before making this call, on the other hand, you need to know the broadcast status.

They/they are now streaming exclusively on Peacock.

The movie was released on the platform on Friday August 5, 2022 and you will be glad to know, for those who don’t know, that the service is free.

They are ad supported so you don’t have to pay to view them/them. However, there is an option to pay for Peacock Premium, which is either $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. This allows subscribers to access all of Peacock’s content, as some of it is not available to those who are not paying.

As for what to expect, they tell the story of a group of LGBT people who are forced to fight for their lives against a mysterious killer in a gay conversion camp.

“There are also continuous psychological games”

Sitting down for an interview with director John Logan, Screenrant addressed the film’s slow-motion backlog of conventions, and the director explained why there was more focus on the gay conversion camp scenario in the first half:

“I think it’s a good dramatic structure to build up your horror or build your suspense as you go. The unique thing about this so-called conversion therapy, is that yes, on the one hand, it’s physically painful. There are forced marches and sleep deprivation.”

He continued, “But there is also a very cunning psychic. I really wanted to take the time to show how these characters, our opponents or our villains, gradually tried to get rid of our camp identity.”
