Scrolling on Netflix is a bit of a sport in itself. I’ve been hit by disturbing yet compelling documentaries, disturbing horror flicks, action movies and so much more. Some days you just keep scrolling hoping you’ll find a nice rom-com.
Fortunately, the streaming service has a lot of popular sub-genre titles. Not only that, but they keep making new shows so you don’t have to choose to watch every time you’re in the mood to enjoy your feet on the couch.
The last thing we cherish is the wedding season.
Directed by Tom Dey and starring Suraj Sharma, we are introduced to Asha and Ravi, two singles who are under pressure from their parents to find partners. They decide to present while looking for love, pretending to be dating during the summer of the wedding after the wedding, only to find the romance might be closer than they thought.
It’s a work that is done gently with filming locations to leave you over heels. Speaking of which, where was the wedding season filmed?

Although it was filmed in New Jersey, the entire wedding season was filmed in Ontario, a province in east-central Canada on the border with the United States.
More specifically, distract reports that it was filmed mostly in the greater Toronto area.
The cast and crew embarked on principal photography in April 2021 and concluded June of that year implementing COVID-19 safety protocols.
Diving in the Greater Toronto Area includes the city of Toronto as well as regional municipalities such as Peel, Durham, Halton and York. However, Toronto proved to be the main and central hub for the film’s production.
The Cinemaholic reports that the crew set up a base of some sort at Avenue Diner at 222 Davenport Road.
For all-important wedding sequences, these beautiful scenes were captured at Cambium Farms at 18333 Winston Churchill Boulevard in Caledon, a town in the Peel Regional Municipality. Speaking with Narcity, central star Suraj Sharma has opened up about filming:
“Oh my God, it was a great time. We had the best time. The thing is that it was during COVID and Canada was really good at its COVID measures. The people were nice, the weather was great, the food was great, the coffee we had was great. We used to go to These parks. We had the best time. I mean, personally, I love Toronto.”
He added, “It was a warm place to shoot a movie and I think we’re lucky to be filming there… I’m going to move to Toronto.”
