American rapper Tavorios Tekes Scott, better known by his stage name Jay Da Youngan, has been killed at the age of 24.
As NBC News reported, he was fatally shot in his hometown of Bogaloosa, Louisiana shortly before 6 p.m. A close family member was also injured but is in stable condition.
The Bugalooza Police Department revealed on Facebook that Jay Da Youngan was taken to Our Lady of Angels emergency room where he died of grief.
The musician is best known for his songs 23 Island, Elimination and Opps, and released his debut album, Misunderstood in 2019.
He has collaborated with a number of other great artists including Lil Durk, Boosie Badazz, Latto, Moneybagg Yo and Kevin Gates.
At the time of writing, no arrests have been made and no one has been charged in connection with the shooting.

Meet JayDaYoungan’s Girlfriend
JayDaYoungan’s girlfriend is a model, Instagram influencer and hair stylist named CaRena Vonchae.
The 19-year-old has 285,000 followers on Instagram where she regularly posts pictures of her daily life and also recently launched a YouTube channel.
In her bio, CaRena has links to an upcoming fashion company called Vonchae Collection and a hairdressing company based in Richmond, Atlanta called Carena Does Hair.
She also has 150k followers on TikTok and often posts both word-of-mouth and challenging content.
Posted a touching greeting
After the rapper’s tragic death, CaRena shared a series of photos and videos of them together and wrote a touching tribute in the caption.
“Thank God my last words to you were I love you, I wish you knew how much I was…. wrote the model.
“I would never have left you… at all, one thing we could do was to make each other smile, such a sweet, sweet soul… the thing I admired about you was that you forgave,”
Kareena went on to say he made God proud of him before calling him “my best friend, my headache, my husband, everything, my baby” saying “You don’t deserve this”.
She concluded, “I will never forget you or what we had.. we fell in love with you the first day I met you… and not a day has gone by without speaking since then… this will be very difficult for me.”
Do they have children?
JayDaYoungan and CaRena have one child each, but they don’t have any children together.
The couple were expecting a baby, but Kareena sadly suffered a miscarriage earlier this year and their baby Amaze Breeze Scott was stillborn.
In her Instagram post, Kareena asked the rapper to “watch Mazzy for me baby” and said, “First Mazie now you know how I can go on.”
Amazi sadly passed away on June 10, and Kareena took to Instagram to share the devastating news, writing: “Amazi Breeze Scott❤️ June 10, 2022… It pained me so bad to say goodbye to this beautiful soul.”
“My heart is broken and I don’t know if I will be the same…. You taught me so much and you will forever be with your mother! My guardian angel 👼🏼,” she continued.
Kareena has another daughter that she rarely posts on social media. However, the baby girl appeared in a TikTok video in April 2020 where the model joked that she was stealing all her money.
Tavorius also has a 2-year-old son whom he often shares on Instagram. His mother is JayDaYoungen’s ex-girlfriend Jordan B.
