According to Loïc Tanzi, Wolves are now in advanced talks to sign Thimothée Lo-Tutala after Spurs set him free.

What’s the story?

Well, Antonio Conte surprisingly decided to allow the 19-year-old to leave Tottenham a few weeks ago.

Le Totala has built himself a solid reputation in north London, playing 14 caps for France’s under-19 team, while the youngster also featured in a first-team match for Tottenham earlier this year.

The Frenchman traveled to Leeds and Burnley with the first team to replace Hugo Lloris, after Pierluigi Giulini fell ill.

For whatever reason, Tottenham have decided not to extend Lo-Tutala’s contract, and Wolves are now looking to capitalize on the situation.

Tanzi – a journalist for L’Equipe – now thinks the gauntlet is about to move to Molineux.

In our opinion, the deal would not be complicated if Lo-Tutala preferred to go to Wolves, given the fact that he is a free agent.

Wolves just need to agree personal terms with the goalkeeper, and hope he will pass a medical in the Midlands.

In his last season with Spurs, Le Total played 12 matches in all competitions, keeping six clean sheets.

Spurs trash can be a wolves treasure

In our view, Spurs may have made a mistake by allowing Lo-Tutala to leave.

By the votes, the young player is a very bright goalkeeper, who can go on to do big things in football.

Of course, Spurs had no immediate need for Lo-Tutala, with Hugo Lloris’s World Cup winning goalkeeper already at Conte’s disposal.

However, when the 35-year-old eventually retires, Spurs really don’t have any young options waiting in the wings.

Fraser Forster – 34 – has been signed to replace Lloris, as there are no reliable goalkeeper options at Spurs after Golini’s loan spell expires.

Lo-Tutala appears to have been a star in the making and if he continues to shine at Wolverhampton, Spurs will surely feel a little awkward.
