According to Tutto Mercato Web, Wolves offered a contract to Everton and Newcastle target Andrea Belotti.
What’s the story?
Well, after Wolves lost Raul Jimenez to injury, it looks like Bruno Lage has decided to make the switch for the Italy international.
Belotti recently became a free agent after his contract with Turin expired, becoming a cult hero with 251 appearances under his belt.
The presence of the 28-year-old has caught the attention of Everton, while Newcastle are also believed to be keen on including him in the Premier League.
Now, however, it was the wolves who took the first concrete step, although there was a problem.
Tutto Mercato Web believes Belotti is not too enthusiastic about a move to Molineux, preferring to join José Mourinho at Roma.
The Italian news agency claims Wolves has offered the Italian a three-year contract worth €3.5m (£3m).
Wolves can still sign Belotti, but it seems to depend on whether or not the Roma decide to make an offer.
Everton and Newcastle goal may shine for Wolves
In our view, Wolves should offer Belotti more money in an effort to convince him, as there aren’t many better free agents on the market at the moment.
The powerful striker – who has been compared to Harry Kane – scores 158 career goals to his name, while also being a regular feature among Robert Mancini’s Italy teams.
For what it’s worth, he’s also been compared to Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, which is quite a compliment.
At 28, Belotti is in the midst of his life, and with Wolves desperate for a new striker, it could be a match made in heaven.
Watch this epic, as Tutto Mercato Web thinks he’s taking his time, and hasn’t officially rejected wolves.
