Yakuza games are coming to PlayStation Plus games in August 2022 as part of a major update to free games.
And while other titles from the lineup already popular with fans will lose out, many will take their place on PS4 and PS5.

Yakuza Headlines August PS Plus Premium
As part of the primary reveal of PlayStation Plus, Sony also confirmed its plans for the broader subscription service.
This included announcing the full selection of Yakuza games to be available to play through 2022 as part of the Playstation Plus roster. Premium and Extra subscribers will have full access to these titles, starting with the launch of Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
This will happen as part of the Essential Tier Free Games Scholarship on Tuesday, August 2, which will be available to all PS Plus members. More Yakuza titles will be added next month as part of the Game Catalog expansion.
Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be added to the Premium and Extra libraries next month, followed by Yakuza 3 Remastered, Yakuza 4 Remastered, Yakuza 5 Remastered, and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life later this year.
There is no release date for any of these titles yet, but as Sony explained earlier in 2022, a second monthly update will occur for those who subscribe to the more expensive Premium Tier.
The Game Catalog update will happen in the middle of the month. It should be noted that the number of games updated will vary monthly, and as mentioned earlier, there is no set date for this to happen.
