Tom DeLong revealed in an interview with To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science, which he co-founded in 2015, that he left Blink-182 to “change the world” for his children “and the children of others”.

He said, “My last show was in front of 100,000 people. And then they wonder why I don’t do it now and I’m going to say because this is the only moment in my life where I’m going to be able to look back as an old man and say, ‘Oh my God, I was part of the team that changed the world’ .”

DeLonge explained that “this is the moment in time” where he can change the world.

The guitarist co-founded To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science in 2015 with the goal of making “transformative discoveries within our reach that will revolutionize the human experience.”

He’s a longtime believer in UFOs and said there are “discoveries within our reach that will revolutionize the human experience.”

DeLong stated that “public interest in the outer edges of science and the understanding of phenomena has always been stifled by prevailing ideology and bureaucratic constraints”.
