Clash Royale update and balance changes

The new Clash Royale update will arrive on Tuesday, August 2, and will add several notable balance changes to the game. Supercell developers have already announced these things along with which characters will be affected.

At the moment, they haven’t revealed when the maintenance of the new Clash Royale patch will begin or how long it will take for the servers to be back online. They confirmed that balance changes will begin after maintenance on Tuesday, August 2nd.

From what’s been shared so far, here are the cards and characters that will see a performance boost during August 2022:

  • Prince +
  • Ram Rider +
  • Mega Knight +
  • hangman +
  • ice golem –
  • golden knight –
  • Skeleton King –
  • electric giant –
  • fireball –
  • fire spirit –
  • Golem Elixir

And here are the balance changes coming to the game as part of the new Clash Royale update for August 2022:

Prince
Charging Status: Faster + (3.5 tiles -> 3 tiles)
Prince has been struggling a bit lately. We’ve given extra carrots to his pony, and he’ll now enter charge state faster than before. Its movement speed will remain the same.

Ram Rider
Charging Status: Faster + (3.5 tiles -> 3 tiles)
Since the last nerf in April, the Ram Rider has ended up in a pretty weak spot. We give it the same little power as the Prince, but without the carrots. Ram is not a fan.

mega night
Jump Delay: Faster + (1.1sec ->0.9sec)
Like Ram Rider, his performance has dropped a lot since the last drop. We still think that reducing the initial damage he does was the right choice, so we’re instead reducing the time he needs to before jumping, making it harder to hunt him with cheap troops.

executioner
Projectile Range: + (6.5 tiles -> 7.5 tiles)
The best chef in the arena has one of the worst win rates in the game. Practice his throw, and his ax will now fly more. His attack range and ax air time remain the same.

Ice Golem
Slow effect after death: + (+0.5 seconds)
The coolest Golem isn’t bad, but it’s rarely used outside of the classic 2.6 collection. Hopefully, this little mini will make him a more viable option in other deck combinations to help him find another purpose in life than to be pushed by the Hog Rider.

golden knight
Hit Points: – (-10%)
The Golden Boy’s favorite in the Arena is very good in every way. Decreasing the strength in his hit points will make him less tense and easier to counter.

skeleton king
Soul Summoning Ability: – (maximum skeleton 18 -> 16)
The Undead King hadn’t really decided to relax after his last nerf. We’re maxing out his collected souls again.

electric giant
Crown Towers Reflex Damage: – (-33%)
The sexy big boy had been a bit strong since his last increase, especially with the mirror. While we’re glad the mirror has finally found its place in the definition, Electro Giant needs to tone down.

fireball
Reply: – (1.8 tiles -> 1 tiles)
Fireball is a very popular spell that dominates its peers due to its instant damage and reactive ability. With this nerf, we want to reduce the card’s versatility and require players to choose other spells.

fire spirit
Damage: – (-9%)
It delivers the best soul now. It was necessary to slightly reduce his damage. You will still be killing orcs (sorry, orcs).

golem elixir
Every part of the Golem now gives Elixir
Golem hit points: + (+9%)
Golemites hit points: + (+6%)
The elixir will now be awarded as follows:

  • Golem: +1 elixir
  • Golemites: +0.5 elixir each (total +1)
  • Points: +0.5 elixir each (+2 total)

Still 4 in total. Since the elixir is granted faster, we polish the hitpoints of golems and golems. Our goal is to deconstruct the Elixir Golem + Battle Healer + Electro Dragon + Rage combination and make them all workable outside of this combo. This Elixir Golem rework is the first step in that direction.
