Dead by broad daylight paraphrasing Thanatophobia

Thanatophobia and the Mettle of Man DBD rework was confirmed this week as part of an upcoming patch. The next Dead By Daylight update doesn’t have a release date; Behavior Interactive has confirmed that it will be launched sometime in the coming days.

A rework of Thanatophobia and Mettle of Man Perk has been confirmed to be included in the game’s next update, though for completely different reasons. The fear of fear has proven to be very common because it now slows down generators significantly. The latest DBD dev update does suggest changes have been made due to how it’s combined with other slowdown perks, but there will still be great rewards available for those who can use it properly.

Describe the rework as follows: Every injured, dying, or drug addicted survivor will now deliver a 1/1.5/2% movement speed penalty. If the four survivors are either injured, dying, or drugged, thenatophobia gives an additional 12% penalty for the survivors’ movement speeds.

Meanwhile, Mettle of Man joins the ranks of the stamina franchises in spirit, as behavior forces the survivor to choose between saving human power and working on generators.

Rework description is as follows: Obtaining two protection clicks now will activate the Mettle of Man, granting the effect of the Endurance state. While the Endurance effect is activated, your aura will be revealed to the Slayer when he is more than 12/14/16 meters away. Like other endurance effects, performing the obvious action will prematurely deactivate it, and won’t protect you from going into a dying state if you already have deep wounds.

The Dead By Daylight Dev update also confirms that the Pain Resonance generator interruption is being triggered with the next update, although Killer won’t receive a notification yet. This will cause Merciless Storm to not be combined with Pain Resonance, but should help bring more balance to the game after reworking the perks last month.
