Kanye West’s New York Times ‘Skete’ prank is his most controversial yet

Nine months into their relationship, Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian called it quits, and of course Kanye West has something to say about her.

Throughout their relationship, which Davidson confirmed again in February after three months of dating, Kanye West has repeatedly targeted Pete Davidson. One of the not-so-funny words was to call him “skeet”.

But West, Kardashian’s ex-husband, took things into account in light of the breakup. The latest irony is a manipulated New York Times article that some fans called “not really good.”

Let’s take a look at some of Ye’s most controversial “Skete” lyrics throughout Kim and Pete’s relationship.

Kanye posted a fake article in the New York Times that ‘Skeet is dead’.

Beginning in the second week of August (Monday, August 8), Kanye West shared a manipulated image on his Instagram account for an article in the New York Times. The headline of the fake newspaper was: “Skeet Davidson dies at 28.”

The newspaper’s fake image also targets Kid Cody, one of Kanye West’s public rivals. The duo has collaborated on a number of music projects over the years, including 2018 Kids See Ghosts. But that all changed in light of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s relationship. As a friend of Davidson’s, Kid Cody was publicly criticized by Kanye for expressing feelings of betrayal. Kanye wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post, Pitchfork reports: “I just wanted my boyfriend to have his back.

The fake New York Times article has a subtitle: “Kid Cody Intended to Play Funeral But Is Afraid of Bottle Throwers.” This comment was made in reference to Kid Cudi walking backstage at Rolling Loud after being hit by a bottle of water last month.

Some of Kanye’s Best – and Worst – Swipes in ‘Skete’

In February 2022, Kanye West introduced the world to Skate for the first time. For the past seven months, Kanye has targeted Skete without ever officially identifying him as Pete Davidson’s nickname… although it’s pretty obvious who’s talking about him after Ye shared a photoshoot of himself and Pete facing the Captain America: Civil War meme.

Check out Kanye’s since-deleted post below:

You will continue to post a series of comments on social media about Skete. Back in February, again in a since-deleted post, Kanye West reportedly wrote, “If anyone loves me and my family, if you ever see a scene in real life, shout it on your arms and say Kimmy forever.”

As he told followers on February 13, 2022: “Hold your husband close to you and make sure they know how much you love and appreciate them because there’s a Skete lurking in every filthy **alley waiting to help destroy your family and roam Calvin Kleins around your kids.”

The most controversial boo targeting Pete Davidson led to the fake article

After news of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s split, Kanye West is back on his ‘Skete’ jokes, although this time they carried a more sinister tone. The “Skete Davidson dead at 28” joke is reminiscent of Kanye’s previous critical joke directed at Pete Davidson.

In March 2022, Kanye West released the controversial music video for “Eazy (ft. The Game)” outside of Donda 2. The song not only contains lyrics about Pete Davidson, but the video stars an animated character who physically resembles the former SNL star. The song Ye rap hears: “God saved me from this accident / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson at a**.”

The music video for “Eazy” takes things to a disturbing place, as the rapper appears to bury a clay mobile version of Pete alive.

Style Caster reported that an insider close to Kim Kardashian thought the video was “disturbing”. “I found it really annoying and dread what could come of it,” the source said. “She wants to protect Pete as much as Pete wants to protect her.”
