We all thought it was over with DCEU, but Jason Mamua confirmed that Ben Affleck will return as Batman in Aquaman 2..
It’s well known that Ben Affleck didn’t have the best time playing Gotham’s favorite bodyguard.
He’s even been very open about it himself, telling Entertainment Weekly, “It’s been a very rock-bottom experience around the Justice League for so many different reasons.
“I don’t blame anyone, there are a lot of things that have happened. But what it was really like was I wasn’t happy. I didn’t like being there. I didn’t think it was fun. Then really horrible things happened. But, when I was like, ‘” I won’t do that anymore.”
Well, the star seems to have told a little pig about it, as Affleck returns as Batman in the Aquaman sequel.
(Another) One last outing?
It was fairly common knowledge that Affleck would return as Batman in The Flash. But we (we also thought) knew that this would be his last adventure in the role. However, now that The Flash is being delayed (it’s due now next summer), it looks like it’s wearing the cape (again) for one last time. Jason Momoa confirmed it all on Instagram by captioning their photos together: “REUNITED […] GREAT THINGS COMING AQUAMAN 2”.
Along with an outpouring of celebrity responses, he shared the official DC Comics account, commenting on “Legends” in the post. Many fans also took to the post with the hashtag #restorethesnyderuniverse – a call to Zac Snyder’s Justice League and its cast for better treatment.
It was all the more surprising after Ben gave up the opportunity to direct and star in his own version of The Batman – a film that was an international and critical success.
We don’t know how much Batman will appear in the movie, or even in what capacity, but it’s exciting news that Ben will be returning to the role of Batman nonetheless.
change of heart
If you haven’t heard (where have you been!), Century Revival happened last year, Ben and Jennifer Lopez finally She tied the knot earlier this month.
The two look happier than ever after everyone’s faith in love is completely restored again (that doesn’t mean you should get back together with your ex though…)
Is it just a coincidence then, or is Pennifer the reason he’s coming back? It’s all speculation, of course, but we wouldn’t be surprised if he changed his mind because of his happier heart. Maybe J-Lo was a fan of the Justice League or just wanted to spin the Batmobile. Either way, we can’t wait to see him in a batsuit again.
