On Tuesday, July 26, the 77-year-old actor’s management team announced his death. This post, however, was soon deleted.
According to TMZ, Tony’s wife, Lauren Schulkind, who was “in a very distraught”, “thought her husband was dead” and told his management team the same. This information, however, was not correct.
Does Tony Dow have children?
Yes, Tony Dow has a son named Christopher, who is his only child.
The Back to the beach The actor shares Christopher with his ex-wife, Carol Marie Theresa Marlowe, whom he married between 1969 and 1980. The star’s son was born on March 26, 1973.
Christopher briefly followed in his father’s acting footsteps. He played Young Wally in the 1980s reboot, New Leave it to Beaver.
The reboot followed the original sitcom’s family with the kids all grown up.
In 1998, Christopher starred in a 1963 episode as a version of Wally Cleaver. He starred in the 1989 version again, playing a 16-year-old version of his father’s character.
The Actor Is Under Elderly Care In His “Last Hours”
At the time of writing, Tony is confirmed to be alive and under hospice care, but he is in his “last hours”.
His son, Christopher, shared an update on the actor’s Facebook page, writing, “This is a difficult time. My dad is at home, in hospice care and in his final hours. My wife and I are at his side along with many friends who have visited.”
The publication concluded, “He has a fighting heart.”
In May of this year, Toni’s wife Lauren announced that the actor’s cancer had returned – just a month after he celebrated his 77th birthday.
