Why was Adele’s residency cancelled?

Just 24 hours before the start of her residency on January 21, Adele announced on Instagram Live that she was canceling the shows.

She said online, “I’m so sorry, but my offer isn’t ready.

Adele explained that “half” of her squad had Covid, which means it is “impossible” to finish the show. It also cited “delivery delays” due to tampering with its plans.

Recently, Adele spoke about the backlash she received during an interview with Lauren Laverne.

“I was definitely disappointed and devastated by everyone, and I was afraid of letting them down. I thought I could put it together and make it work and I just couldn’t. I’m sticking with that decision,” she said.

Hello, the singer continued, “I’m not going to do a show just because I have to or because people are going to let down or because we’re going to lose a lot of money.”

Adele announces new showtimes

In July, Adele announced that her residency had been rescheduled and fans would actually get a chance to see the icon perform in Las Vegas after all.

She stated on Instagram: “Words cannot explain how happy I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows. I was so sad that I had to cancel them. But after what seemed to me to be figuring out the logistics of the show I really wanted to do, knowing That it could happen, I’m more excited than ever!”

The singer did not hold back on her choice to postpone the original shows and said that although some fans felt it was a “horrific decision,” she knew it was “the right one.”
