Monster Hunter Rise, and its first major DLC, Sunbreak, has been a huge hit both critically and commercially.
The follow-up to Monster Hunter World had big boots to fill and it did so incredibly when it landed on the Nintendo Switch with a host of new and returning monsters, an engaging story and a typical Monster Hunter gameplay episode.
Then, the game’s Sunbreak expansion was released in June and contained a whole new language, a master rank and even more monsters to hunt down.
As they like, Capcom also releases regular free title updates for the game, with the first version coming soon.
The first information about the first title update will come in the digital Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak event and here is the date and time of that event, as well as how to watch it.

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak digital event start date and time
The Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak digital event will take place on Tuesday, August 9th.
For those interested in getting more information about Major Update 1, the event will start at the following times:
- 7 AM Pacific Time
- 9 am local time
- 10 a.m. ET
- 3 pm GMT
- 4pm CET
- 11 pm japanese time
- Midnight (10 August) AEST
How to watch The Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak digital event
The digital Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak game will be hosted by game producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yoshitake Suzuki.
It will be available to watch on the game’s official YouTube channel linked here.
What monsters will appear?
Capcom has already confirmed that two new versions of the monster, Lucent Nargacuga and Seething Baselguese, will be shown during the Sunbreak Digital Event.
That wouldn’t be all though Capcom quipped that there would be “more…”
