The second season of Tower of God has now been confirmed, and while the premiere will still be TBA, can we make some release date predictions for the successful anime?
Crunchyroll is one of the largest anime streaming platforms in the world, but until just a few years ago, the service moved away from producing (financing) its own original shows.
Since the beginning of 2020, 15 Crunchyroll originals have been made, and while The God of High School and In/Specter are fun animations, arguably the best series to come from the streaming giant to date is Tower of God.
Great story and great characters, all wrapped up in great visuals that made us look forward to every episode – add two of the best opening and final songs in recent memory, and you’ll have a sure hit in your hands.
Yesterday, August 6, it was finally confirmed that Tower of God Season 2 is now in production — here’s everything you need to know about the new trailer, trailer, and possible release date.
The second season of the Tower of God was confirmed in the first teaser
It is great news for Burj Allah fans; At a recent Crunchyroll Expo, it was revealed that the hit anime will be returning for a second season, with a new trailer premiering at the event – see below.

While the official watch numbers for the original Crunchyroll series aren’t publicly available, the popularity of Tower of God is pretty clear – the anime currently scores 7.7/10 on IMDB, 74% on Anilist, 7.56/10 on MyAnimeList, and 4/5 on Anime Planet and 4.7/5 on Crunchyroll.

The future of the series wasn’t clear for a while when manhwa author Lee Jong-hui aka SIU announced that he’s taking a break from the series. However, in the time that has passed since the first season, the webtoon . has become resume Its regular release schedule and as of August 2022, over 130 chapters – even rated up to Season 3.

Explore the predictions of the launch date of the second season of the Tower of God
The Crunchyroll News post included announcing the broadcast date for Tower of God season 2 at a later date. However, it was revealed that the anime will be broadcast at the same time in “North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the CIS.”

Now, we can actually make some early predictions about a possible release date for Season 2 based on the production cycle from the first installment.
The God Tower anime was first announced at Seoul Comic-Con in August 2019 and premiered on April 1, 2020.
Assuming Season 2 sees a similar production cycle at Studio Telecom Animation Film, fans could see the return of Season 2 of Burj God as soon as April 2023 on the Spring animation slate.
However, with the studio currently working on the Rick and Morty anime, it could push this potential release into summer 2023 — in either scenario, we’re pretty confident that Tower of God will be back within the next 13 months.
